If you take a look at a number of articles below, you'll see Bush had no interest in protecting the lives of Americans. He knowing let an imminent attack happen on 9/11, only later to justify a huge war budget. He didn't even pretend to act surprised when it did happen. I suspect McCain will let another attack happen, or even fund one indirectly if necessary, in order to justify continual wars. These people are not interested in protecting Americans. Bush want Americans to get hurt in order to justify additional Holy Wars. McCain wants to continue Bush's security/war justification policy.
